The Premier Dig at Pleiades Mine offers a special, limited-opportunity experience for those interested in collecting high-quality fluorite, including rare opalized and rainbow varieties.
Led personally by one of the mine owners, this dig provides private guidance and access into the rich, untapped veins of the mine. The use of an excavator helps expose fresh material from the veins, giving participants a better chance to find standout specimens without relying solely on surface collecting or tailings. No sifting through scraps here – you're diving deep into premium territory where the biggest hauls await.
To maintain a focused, hands-on environment with close personal attention, each Premier Dig will limited to just five paid experiences per day. We will be limiting the amount of premier digs that are offered, making it a selective opportunity rather than a regular public dig.
Participants will come away with beautiful pieces like the colorful, translucent fluorite the mine is known for—perfect for collectors or display. If you're looking for a more intimate and guided gem-hunting session in Nevada's mining country, this is a solid choice. Spots are limited, so early booking is recommended.
For the Premier Dig at Pleiades Mine, please plan to bring at least three 5-gallon buckets to hold the material you collect—these are included as part of your dig package. If you'd like to take home even more, additional buckets are available for purchase right on site (cash is necessary for these extras).

While the Premier Dig is a pre-paid, limited-capacity experience and we are unable to offer refunds once your spot is secured, we’re happy to work with you on rescheduling if you reach out in advance. Simply contact us as soon as possible, and we’ll do our best to accommodate you on a future date. Please note that in the case of a no-call, no-show, the reservation cannot be refunded or transferred.
